Kushan Carrier
|
Kushan/Tiidan Carrier: To put it simply, the
Carrier's role is to act like a small-scale Mothership. The most vital
service this craft provides, is being able to make its own ships and house
them. When a ship is docked, it is being refueled (and repaired if damaged).
The Carrier can produce anything fighter-sized to frigate-size. Ships larger
then that can only be made at the Mothership. The next ability this craft
has, is being able to process enemy ships, from fighters to frigates, turning
them to your side. The last thing the Carrier can do is receive minerals.
This won't be used often, because the Carrier usually doesn't hang around
minerals for tactical reasons. The bottom line with this ship, is that
it is nice to have, but demands a huge escort. Whenever one of these is
made, it become a prime target for the enemy, because of its threat potential. |
Kushan Research Ship
|
Kushan/Tiidan Research Ship: Once you build this
ship, you can research more advanced craft. By researching such things
as 'engines' or 'chassis', you can graduate from one ship to the next.
You can combine research ships, by building more then one, and then they
automatically join together, making their hull strength stronger. The more
ships you have linked together, the more areas you can study at one time.
These ships have no weapons, but usually are found by the Mothership. |
Tiidan Sensors Array
|
Kushan/Tiidan Sensors Array: This is what makes
the Sensors Manager come alive. As soon as the Array is out of the Mothership's
bay, your information regarding the enemy ships is greatly increased. It
won't give you specific names of enemy ships, but by using common sense
and logic, it is easy to determine what are enemy fighters/corvettes and
what are frigates/destroyers. Enemy Heavy Cruisers, Carriers and Motherships
are shown as mini icons of the actual ship, so you can spot them easily.
The Array also has no weapons of its own, and is often found by the Mothership. |
Tiidan Proximity Sensor
|
Kushan/Tiidan Proximity Sensor: This little ship
functions as the only cloak detector in Homeworld. Aside from finding cloaking
ships and fighters, this ship also can function as modified Probe. This
ship does not use fuel, so it can be out spying on the enemy, or on guard,
spotting for cloaked craft. The Proximity Sensor is also extremely cheap
like the Probe. With no weapons and little armor, the Sensor won't last
in battle, and is best off to the side, looking for hidden ships. |
. |
Kushan/Tiidan Mothership: The Mothership is the
most vital ship in the game because it can make any craft you have researched
and because in the campaign, it carries the colonists from Kharak to the
Homeworld. In other words, if it dies, you lose. It can house over two
hundred fighters and corvettes in its bays and has adequate defenses. This
ship also can receive minerals and process enemy ships, turning them to
your side. In the campaigns, this ship can not move, except when hyper
spacing, but online, it has an extremely slow speed, and can move from
one place to another. No image available. |
